I am really interested in the Canon powershot sd750, because it really takes great pictures. But now i am attracted to the newest (Canon powershot sd 1200 IS) because of the various colors the camera comes in. I am wondering if the SD1200 IS is as good as the SD750. Anyone know?

but i would recommend Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS20P 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom
10-megapixel resolution captures enough detail for poster-sized prints
4x wide-angle optical zoom; Mega Optical Image Stabilized
3.0-inch Intelligent LCD; Face Detection
Intelligent ISO; Intelligent Scene Selector
50 MB built-in memory; captures images to SD memory cards
You’re right the SD750 is great. However, it’s kind of old compared to the SD1200. With the SD1200, you will get more resolutions (10 MegaPixels vs 7 MegaPixels), a viewfinder, and an image stabilizer which often help prevent blurred pictures. One major down point is the SD1200 has smaller LCD monitor (2.5 inch vs 3.0 inch).
So, if I were you, I would go with the PowerShot SD1200.
the sd750 and sd1200 are sort of like in different lines of cameras, and not entirely fair to compare them both as the 750 is older.
The sd750 to sd990 line of cameras are more featured than the sd1000 to sd1200 line of cameras. but the latter are more compact and cheaper.
My personal opinion is actually to get the sd960 which i feel is in the sweet spot of value and function. You get HD video on the sd960 which is really quite amazing. It is an all-in-one all you need.
I would suggest SD1200.It is newer model and more mega pixel. Here are some sample pictures from user.http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?i…
