It doesnt seem to be working. Maybe coz the camera software needs to be in the PC too? When i on the camera it starts workign like a USB and the lens goes in.

Herod’s a liar. I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W100 and there’s no way to get it to work with stop motion software since every time it’s plugged into the computer it disengages the shooting mode. I even called Sony, they told me there’s nothing that can be done.
Unfortunately, this is the case with the majority of all digital cameras. None of them are made with stop motion in mind, so the majority of “point and click” cameras can’t shoot while plugged into the computer. So, a good webcam or camcorder is much easier to use for novice stop motion animators since they all work with Monkeyjam or any other stop motion software.
For any specific questions, you should check out http://www.stopmotionanimation.com
It’s a message board filled with stop motion animators helping eachother out. They even have a handbook section that has basic answers and info on a variety of stop motion topics (armatures, sets, cameras, etc)http://www.stopmotionanimation.com/handb…
