I have a canon powershot sd 1100 is and when I plug it in to my computer and I see the picture of the video and when I put in a folder, it says it is copying then when I see it, it says 0 bytes instead of 3 gb. Also I tried the card reader and it does not even register.

I’m guessing your memory card is corrupted… your camera should have come with a small memory card, see if that works.
