I recently bought a kodak 4GB memory card and it works with my mom’s canon powershot but when I put it in my canon sd450 it says that the card is locked even when i switch the card to unlocked and locked. is it just not compatible with my camera? I have another memory card (lexar) and it works fine.

Sometimes you can’t use a card in two different cameras without formatting it in the camera you want to use it in. In other words, you need to format it in your camera if it has been used in your mom’s. Make sure the pictures are uploaded to a computer first because formatting it will erase all of the pictures.
You may have to format that card in your mom’s camera, and then format it again in yours. Don’t ask me why, because I don’t know! Some cameras are just picky that way! LOL
