In other words, you need to format it in your camera if it has been used in your mom's. Make sure the pictures are uploaded to a computer first because formatting it will erase all of the pictures. You may have to format that card in your mom's camera, and then format it again in yours. Don't ask me why, because I don't know! Some cameras are just picky that way!
