I planning to buy one second hand.
I already have a Casio 10.1 MP.
Do you think the quality is better than the Casio even at 8.2 MP?

I can tell you that I really like the sony cyber shot i have one and i use it all the time. On casio im not sure but to tell you the truth after you get past about 6 mp you wont really need any stronger camera unless you are enlarging the photos by like 6 feet by 8 feet or something really large. The reason is because your Computer can’t even display that many pixels. And I don’t even think my 65″ plasma HD can do that either so to tell you the truth your really looking at the cameras other features like effects and etc… sonys really good with this. And in General I would rather go for nikon cannon or sony for cameras not casio.
By my photography experience the best cameras are Nikon’s because of there lens then comes cannon and finally sony. Casio is not really a good brand for cameras but it does the job i guess.
Nikons are more for pros there really expensive and have high rez.
cannons and sonys fall in the same categories there both good for pro and recreational use also. I also like the set for the programming on the cannons and sonys.
all in all your really just looking for the extra features of the camera because unless your enlarging the photos greatly I dont even see a reason to get above 10 mps anything between 6 to 10 are pretty much good enough.
    Well I hope this helped

Yes, I actually do have one. You always want to go for cameras with higher mega pixels and Sony cybershot has what it takes to provide the clear picture image I want. I haven’t used a Casio camera yet, and can’t grade its quality. Better yet, I like the Cybershot for its low price compared to other brand and models that cost more.
My advice would be to compare the Sony Cybershots feature to the Casio camera to figure out which is best for you. A good model of sony cybershot would be the would be the DSC-S950 with super steady shot image stabilization. To review the product go to http://astore.amazon.com/accessoriesforl…
    Goodluck!

i kind of hate that you have to charge it first.
i prefer cameras that only require you to insert AA batteries and thats it. i dont like prep work for such a simple appliance.
i have the Sony powershot also which doesnt require charging. i tend to use this one more often just because i can grab it and go.

Generally Sony Cybershot cameras are very good. I have one issue with my Sony DSC-W300 and that is that it’s useless in low light! As I don’t always like lugging a DSLR around I’ve taken to using my Samsung camcorder for photos in low light conditions.
