   The best thing you could do for yourself is to learn about photography. Take a class, borrow some books, read/watch tutorials online. A good photographer makes a much bigger difference to the outcome than the camera does.
   Learning how it all works means knowing how to overcome problems and work around limitations, and you would love the way your images improve.
   For low light shots, you’d learn about aperture, ISO, using a tripod, etc.
