   Look in your cameras menu. Usually in the setup screen, there is a format feature. You need to format only on the camera,since it then writes new file folders as well as a new image index file. If you attempt to use the format feature on your Mac, you will destroy the card. Your cards format uses FAT or FAT32. Mac uses a different format scheme
   If all else fails, call the Sony help line 800.222.SONY

   Do you have any other memory cards that are formatted? If so, use a card reader and connect the formatted card to your computer. There should be one folder- with the name of your camera. Copy-and-paste this folder into the unformatted memory card and you’re back in business.
