i want the camera to take the picture right when i push the button. not 5 seconds later. i have read the book and im having trouble finding how to do it. i saw where it says NR (slow shutter) and (125) for shutter speed. is that what i want? and if so how do i change it????

    Here are some general tips:
    …The NR may refer to Noise Reduction. Turn it off as it can delay shots.
    …Shooting in low light may cause focus delays. If there’s a focus assst lamp make sure it’s on.
    …Press the shutter button halfway down to lock in the focus before you shoot. Then when the magic moment happens, there will be less delay.
    …The flash takes time to recycle — try shooting without it.
    …The shutter speed number (125) does not affect this issue.
    …If your camera is an older model (or an inexpensive one) you may not be able to do much about this problem.
