I don’t have my camera’s manual and I just want to lower the resolution. But all I can find on the shooting menu is to change from superfine, fine, to normal…
Thanks!

The user manual is available for download. Your answer is on page 68.
1. Press the Func Set button.
2. Use the up and down arrows to select L. (No wonder you couldn’t figure this out on your own.)
3. Use the right of left arrows to select the size.
L – 8 megapixel
M1 – 5 megapixel
M2 – 3 megapixel
M3 – 2 megapixel
S – 640 x 480
You found the quality settings, you want the size settings. They should be in the same menu. The size settings are labeled something like L, M1, M2, and S. L for large, M for medium, and so on. Go here for your manual:http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro…
It should be under that…
the one that says L, M2, M3, S, or W…
which stands for Large, Medium 2, Medium 3, Small or Widescreen…
depending on which camera you have, the resolution is different, but it tells you when you change it from one to the other.
