i just got a Sony Cybershot W80. Do you know how to use the self timer on it? I get confused by manuals.

    If the buttons on our cybershots are the same (I have W55), here’s what you do:
    Turn on the camera (duh) and position it on a tripod or whatever. Get the shot that you want on the viewing screen (duh again).
    Press the timer button (mine is the “down” button of the up, down, left, right buttons). When you press it the little timer icon will appear on the screen. When the timer icon has a 2 in the lower right corner, the picture will be taken 2 seconds from the time the shutter button is pressed (not much time to get situated). When there is a 10 in the lower right hand corner of the icon, the picture will be taken 10 seconds from the time the shutter button is pressed (I prefer 10 second timer).
    You can tell that the camera is on timer because the orange light on the front of the camera will flash slowly and then very fast right before the picture is about to be taken. It also beeps if you have the volume turned on. Hope this helped. Post if you have other questions.
