   Is the camera turned on when you plug it in?
   If yes, can you see the camera in Finder?
   If no, try connecting the camera into another computer to see if it works there.
   If you have iPhoto, it should find the camera as soon as you connect it, if the camera is on.

   Turn off your camera.
   Plug in the camera and the computer.
   Launch iPhoto.
   Turn on your camera.
   You should now see a dialogue box to download your photos.
   OK? Working?

   Check that your Mac has its auto detect feature turned on … Mac is supposed to “see” any graphics device.
