Should I keep the battery in the camera or leave it out when I’m not using it (to save energy)? Or does that not matter?
Could I leave the battery charging overnight (I know it says that the battery only needs 1.5 hrs to recharge) or would that harm it?
Does the camera indicate how much battery life is left? Does it beep when there’s low battery?

Canon ( and Nikon’s and probably others) use chargers that shut off once the battery is fully charged.
The camera usually lets you know when you need to exchange batteries. I have three and a grip that holds two of them . when one becomes depleted, I just put a fresh one in and recharge to depleted one ASAP
when bettery full the charger autometically off charging.
