How can you get good non-blurry shots with Canon Powershot SD1000 besides taking pics over and over like crazy till the button breaks? Is there no sport vibration option on it?

It seems that you have two different issues.
First “snapping” sports with a P&S camera is very difficult because of the shutter lag inherint in all P&S cameras.http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/shutter-…
Next you seem to be having a problem with camera movement caused by slow shutter speeds. Since your camera as no aperture or shutter priority modes and has no IS feature, you really don’t have much control over the camera, so you may become more frustrated until you can buy a camera with those attributes.
Really the only cameras you can depend upon to shoot sports is a DSLR

The camera you own is a good one but is intended to snapshots. For instance taking photos of the field and the players but as far as fast action photography you are going to need to step up to an SLR or DSLR with fast shutter speeds and a high (fps) frames per second with a good telephoto lens it is the only way to take shots that you speak of successfully.

one thing that would help would be a high speed memory card so that you get a faster shutter speed
