Check with the seller to see if it comes with a card or not. Some do. Some do not. But the memory cards are not at all expensive and you’d probably want to have an extra one anyway, so it wouldn’t hurt to buy one.

Yes, you will have to buy a memory card because the free one (16-32mb) that Canon ‘so generously’ gives you, is completely useless because it will only allow you to shoot a few images.
I recommend you buy a 2GB SD card at the very least. Make sure it’s a fairly fast card (Class 4-6 minimum…and not Class 2, which is too slow). Sandisk Ultra II ( Class 4) or Extreme III (Class 6) are excellent.
Make sure you always Format your brand new card before you use it (in the camera Menu)…and everytime you need to delete ALL images/movies in one go.
Read your User Guide thoroughly and refer to it often if you have any queries…

The actual CAMERA comes with a reallycrappy512mb card, soif youJUST get the camera, I would recomend buying a card, AT LEAST 2GB.
I may depend on where youre buying from, a larger card may be packaged with the camera.

The camera will come with one but it probably won’t be larger than 32mb – about enough for 10 pictures. Buy an SD or SDHC card for $10-$20.

Yes you do and they are pretty cheap. You can get an 2gig SD card for about $10 on sale.
