i have a canon powershot a300 camera and the screen is black is there anything i can do to make it work?
i turn it on and it shows nothing but black, the menus will pop up. but it wont show a picture of anything. almost like the shutter is closed. but its not.

there is a button called “disp” or display… press that button repeatedly until the image comes on the screen.

It sounds like your memory card doesn’t have any pictures on it and you’re in the display mode. Try switching to Auto or Manual modes.
