The display now flickers with horizontal lines and it will vary with lighting conditions. The resulting photo is not right after the photo is taken so I know it is just not the screen that is problematic, it continues onto the resulting photo. It is probably some kind of lighting sensor I am guessing. What do you guys think?

    First call the Canon help line, 800.OK-CANON
    My guess is there may be a known issue with that model

    The camera has been impacted, most likely by the ground/floor. The ribbon wire has most likely come loose. You might just want to take advantage of 1 of the current sales and replace it. Good Luck!
