Canon PowerShot SX100 IS 8-Megapixel Digital Camera in black. Is it good?
I was going to try and save up $149 for a Kodak EasyShare digital camera in red, but I’m not sure about either of these. :p
Here’s the link to the page I found it on:http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/Search.do… sx100&searchSection=All&go.x=0&go.y=0
It costs $219.99, and I really want it, but I need ways to earn money fast, and I can’t really do anything to raise money outside my house! What should I do???
(P.S. I’m helping my sis raise money for an iPod Classic so I’ve given her like, 65 bucks and now I don’t have anything. She says she’s gonna help me get money for a camera, but she needs money to buy like, itunes cards and rent movies and tv shows for her iPod, so I might take my money back…but i told her id help her save up! what shld i do??)

First The Cannon Powershot SX100 with 8 megapixels is great I don’t have one but my grandma does and she is technology challenged no joke and it’s fairly easy for her to work. Also my friend has the kodak Easyshare and its also a great camera as a first camera but the cannon takes much nicer pictures but for taking pictures with friends the kodak is a great choice. But about the money thing I would say try working with your sister to raise money together and split it that way you both slowly save up and you help each other. Hope this helps you.

thats the camera i have and its a freakin awesome camera!!!! i love it! and its only 180
can’t go wrong with canon.
I posted an answer on your other, similar question. I have pretty much the same to say about this. Figure out if it really is the camera you want. Have you seen it in person, and actually taken a photo with it, or have you just looked at it online? You may find a camera in store that you really like, and works just as well, while being cheaper. Also consider following the sales. Every once in a while, Staples has a great deal. I got an 8 megapixel camera for $99 and it had all the bells and whistles, AND I got a free HP printer. (That was areound Christmas time…maybe you’ll have enough money by then..? ) Anyway, stay away from brands you or your family has never heard of. Otherwise, I have never run into a bad camera.
The Canon SX100 is nice, but it’s more expensive than some of the other PowerShot models that are equally capable. You might want to take a look at the A720IS and the A590IS. The A590IS is under $180 at Circuit City. Both A720IS and A590IS are very similar except the A720IS has a higher quality video mode, and has a longer optical zoom range.
I have the A590IS and love using it! It’s a fairly light and compact camera, has tons of features, and takes impressive pictures. It also includes image stabilization and face detection to make it easier to take clear pictures.
One thing you need to consider is the size of the SX100. It’s larger compared to the above cameras I mentioned. I’ve put some links below to help you make your decision.
