Im a bit confused as to which memory card to pick just wondering which brand is most reliable also the size since I plan on shooting video with it as well. Also any other info will be greatly appreciated .

Most any SDHC card will be fine so long as the speed class is 6. You can tell the speed of the card by looking for a number with a circle around it. Many cheap cards on sale ads are class 2 cards. You can see those cards have a 2 with a circle around it. If the speed is too slow, the camera cannot write to the card fast enough and must use its internal memory to store video streams. This limits the video to a few minutes at best, sometimes less than a minute.
With a fast enough card, you can write directly to the flash card memory and are limited only to the battery life and the card’s memory size.
