   It’s perfect for the person who knows nothing about photography. It counts as a bridge camera and it’s halfway to a “real camera” as it were.
   The only thing I would be cncerned with is the aperture is only 2.8-5.7. The whole range to be worked with is 1.2-32. So you are limited there. And a 15 second shutter so fireworks or light trails might be hard to do.
   Otherwise I say good choice for a beginner.
