  2. This battery did not work at all. Would not charge (tried 2 different chargers), would not power the camera (my old battery works fine) I returned it and got another one, and this one is the same, it doesn’t work either! You would think they would test them before selling them! It is supposed to be a Japanese battery, but there is a sticker on the box that says made in China!

  3. This battery does not work with Panasonic DMC XS3 camera. All specs match but when inserted in camera display reads error and shuts down. I did return it and am waiting for credit I expect to receive. This was the second battery (after market) I purchased for this camera that did not work. I accepted the fact you have to buy the high priced Panasonic battery.

Received the battery, put in the charger and the green light on the charger went off in 5 minutes. Since Panasonic battery came with the camera required about 2 hours to charge, I thought the battery was defective and asked for a replacement. The replacement arrived in 2 days, and the same thing happened. The green light went off in 5 minute. It then occurred to me that the battery might have been pre-charged. And sure enough, it worked as well as the Panasonic battery. I guess I owe the vendor this note for my oversight. Perhaps the vendor should make it clear that the battery is pre-charged.
