   This is NOT a compatible battery. Agree with other reviewers that is is misrepresenting to say it is a replacement battery for a Lumix ZS3. Camera software does not recognize battery.

   What’s worse is that Amazon [who seems to carry everything] does not offer the Panasonic brand battery that will work. Shame shame.

   As per other reviews this battery DOES NOT WORK with the camera. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

   I’ll jump on the don’t buy this battery bandwagon. It absolutely does not work with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 camera. As one other reviewer put it, it’s a shame that Panasonic weeds out competition by encrypting their batteries. I love the camera, but maybe the last thing I buy from Panasonic.

   Even though my camera (Panasonic Lumix ZS1) was among the models listed that were compatible with this battery, it is not. I trusted the information I found on the Amazon page and it was wrong.

   I ordered this batter for the Panasonic ZS3 camera that I purchased at the same time, but unfortunately, this does NOT work in the Panasonic ZS3. I love the ZS3, but I’m not sure I would buy it again due to Panasonic’s proprietery battery! I ended up returning this battery. After looking at EVERY camera shop in town I had to order directly from Panasonic. EXPENSIVE!
