I edit my pictures on my pc using a programme that came with a Canon Selphy printer and saved as a JPEG and changed the photo name. I have tried editing with other programmes and transferring to the camera with the camera cable but still wont show, what should i do to enable the camera to view these files?

What you are trying to do, just usually can’t be done, because most cameras will not allow this. The only way for possible success is to use the memory card with a card reader. Files can then easily be transferred to the card from your pc.
However…success will be very limited, because you generally cannot transfer your images to your computer, edit them and change their name and then transfer them back to the card…and then expect your camera to recognise them.
Your camera is usually only able to recognise images that it, itself has taken and you have not changed or edited that file (and name of file) in any way.

You have to see under what format does the camera store the picture. the after editing the picture you have to save the picture under the same format. Also try not to change the format of the name i.e sony saves them as DSC001. Try saving the formatted picture as the same format.
    Hope that helps.
