  1. I bought this to have battery back up for my new camera. It arrive in a timely manner and works great. I have bought many other items from Amazon even a flat screen TV with no problems. They are great!

Same performance as the original one.

You need at least one if you are used to take a lot of picture.

May be I will take one more.

I searched on the model number for the battery for my Panasonic DMC-Z3 camera; finding a battery of similar shape and model number I went ahead and ordered it. Much to my surprise on recent I realize that the model number is different from that of my camera. Obviously I was in a rush and did not check the model numbers. However, redoing the search today I find that the same problem comes up – when searching for a specific model number on Amazon, the results include many things with similar but not the same model numbers. (though that is helpful in some situations, it was not helpful here!)

The moral of the story: Double check the model number before buying!

This is an OEM battery, not a knockoff, and thus will work with any camera that was originally equipped with it. This battery is the same battery that you will have to pay at least 1/3 more for at the camera manufacturer’s website. Buy it here and get the same battery for less money. Can’t be beat. As a side note, Panasonic has an updated program for their cameras that can detect if a non-panasonic battery is being used in their cameras and will shut the camera down. I would imagine that all cameras that Panasonic now ships out will have some type of this programming. Use a knock-off if you want to try but don’t be surprised if it doesn’t work.
