I’m wondering which one has better image quality etc. Which one should i buy? It’s between both of those…Are they both good decisions? Should i get a Canon PowerShot S5 IS or a Canon PowerShot SX100 IS?

They’re actually fairly similar, image quality wise, same sensor size etc.
Two things to consider. The S5IS has a handy dandy flip screen, you’ll find it extremely helpful when shooting. It also sports a very good viewfinder, this you’ll find helpful on bright days when you can’t see diddly on your screen or in low light situation when you need to keep the camera steady.
