I’m going to step up from my SLR camera and turn to digital. I dont really know that much about it butI have been interested in the Canon Powershot S3 IS as money is a huge object for me and I just cant afford a Canon ESO 350 or Nikon D50 that people have recommended to me. I know that the Powershot does not have a RAW mode but is that 100% necessary for someone who is just starting to learn digital photography? I’m not just trying to take vacation snaps thought – i really want to build up my portfolio. Thanks for any answers.
