I have difficulty troubleshooting the problem with my Sony Cybershot digital camera and wonder if anyone could help me. The optical zoom doesnt want to go back into the camera and the lens doesnt wanna close either. I thought the batteries were flat and replaced them but that didnt help either. It keeps making a funny noise and the message that appears on the screen all the time is “turn the power off and on again” and when I do that the same message appears again. What could be wrong?

If it is covered by warranty, best to bring it to the service center. Don’t try fixing it yourself if you don’t know how to. You might damage it more by doing so. It’s best to be safe than sorry.
Which model you got, in general sony cybershot is a rip off camera, is simply not worth the heavy price tag especially their T-series, horrible perfmance in low night and simply too soft picture lack manual control.
