Does anyone have any examples of pictures taken with the Soft Snap feature? Or can explain what it does? Thanks. Btw – I have a Sony Cybershot 7.2 MP DSC-W55

I have the black one [=
Anyways, I think that it dulls the background a little, focusing more on the main subject.

Why don’t you just have a look in the Index of your User Handbook…it explains what Soft Snap Mode is (look on page 26).
But if you don’t have the manual or can’t be bothered to read it…
“Soft Snap Mode…Allows you to shoot skin colours in brighter and warmer tones for more beautiful pictures. In addition, the soft focus effect creates a gentle atmosphere for portraits of people, flowers etc.”
To see how images look in Soft Snap mode…umm, just shoot a few images.

It puts a soft lightening glow on the image.
Mostly used when taking a pic of something or someone you cherish.
