   If you are looking for a good low light camera, the Canon A640 is not the way to go. The ISO range is good, but in low light, anything above ISO 200 is not much to look at. Most digital cameras suffer from this problem of poor high ISO quality, but this is why many switch to a digital SLR. Speaking of a DSLR, why don’t you consider the Nikon D40 or Pentax K100d? They are both much better then most digital point and shoots, and the price is very cheap.
   Out of the two other choices, the Nikon L15 and Olympus 770 SW, I would go with the Olympus. It is shock resistant, water resistant, dust resistant, freeze resistant, crush resistant, and can take images up to 32 feet under water. Along with this, it looks and feels great. Just a thought, though.

   If you’re just using it to take everyday photos, Canon Powershots are pretty damn good… I own the 550 and its my favorite toy..takes great pics and has lots of cool features..I’m sure the 640 probably even better
