   Check what’s your camera current setting. It’s probable that it’s in manual mode. Read the owner’s manual on how to change or learn how to use the manual mode.

   Sounds like you have it in Manual or Shutter Priority mode and have it set at a long shutter speed.

   Did it happen only once? Or is it continuing to happen?
   Is night shot enabled?
   Sounds like the camera is set to overexpose the image.
