It’s been a great camera for two years, and then today when I try to turn it on, it just shows the “startup” screen image, then beeps like three times, then turns back off. I charged the battery just to make sure, but it’s still doing the same thing! Is my camera broken?!

Does the lens come out? The beeps on startup are usually a sign that something is preventing the lens from coming out. Sometimes that can be from dust/sand that has gotten into the grooves or it can be from a dent if the camera was dropped. Usually the screen will have some more information as to what the problem was. That uses a Li-Ion battery which don’t last forever. After a couple of years, they need to be replaced because they can no longer hold their charge. That is another possible problem you could be having.
