We lost the software CD that came with our Canon Powershot S40 digital camera – and also changed PC at home.Now we cannot download the pictures from the SD card in the camemra. Help! Thanks!!

You generally don’t need the software to upload images to your computer (as long as you use a card reader). Your computer should recognize the card reader as a removable drive and you can then copy & paste (or drag & drop) all images over to your computer.
However, you can download everything you want (including the User Guide) from Canon.com.
