I would like it to be relatively cheap…I bought it at Best Buy but I’m sure I can take it elsewhere to get fixed for cheaper. I don’t have the receipt so using the warranty is out. The problem is I replaced the batteries and now when I turn it on it shows on the screen ‘cybershot’ and then turns off.

If you bought it with a credit card, then Best Buy may have a record of the purchase. They may help you with a diagnostic of the problem. Get a free estimate of the cost of repair.
It will cost more to fix it then to replace it. Why don’t you look on ebay for the same one.. I bet buying one there would be cheaper then fixing yours.
