I am mostly a D-SLR user and I want to buy a … more compact digital camera that is still as versatile yet not too expensive. Please try to compare between my two candidates: the Panasonic DMCFX100K and the Canon Powershot A650 IS. (Unless you have a CLEARLY better choice.)

Both have larger sensors than most P&S cameras. The Canon edges out the Panasonic in the area of optical zoom, but is behind the Panasonic when it comes to using state of the art Li-ion batteries.
Otherwise they are both fine cameras … both have excellent lenses (Leica … on the Panasonic and Canon on the Canon)

okay my parents have the canon i like it but it is just too big my sister has the Panasonic its a whole lot better but if your looking for something more compact but still takes great pictures i would go with the canon sd-750 or sd-1000 both great cameras my sd-750 fell out of my pocket at a gas station and i guess i ran over it so now i have the sd-1000 no difference both great cameras but the sd-750 has a massive screen.
