check if you are using NiCad (nickel-cadmium) rechargables.
these hold a memory effect, and can reduce the voltage level even when fully charged.
Is this a Camera in which you can put batteries such as AA and AAA’s in?
If so what type of batteries are you using?
Using the cheap carbon batteries will cause the problem you are having because they can supply very little current, and a digital camera requires quite a bit.
If this is the case I would advise going for Alkaline, they will last slightly longer but not for ages.
It may be cheaper in the long term to buy some rechargables, such as Lithium Ion or Nickel-Cadium (Ni-Cad), these can supply alot more current, I think the best recharables you can get on the market now is around the 2700mAH, or 2.7Ah AA batteries.
This means that each one of those battries can either supply one amp for 2.7 hours or, 2.7 amps for 1 hour. Thats very good for a small AA battery. You will find these batteries will last you ages.
The amount of time your batteries will last inside your camera also depends on things such as if you use the flash, using the flash alot will drain your batteries quickly because of the charging circit, and other factors such as if you are constantly zooming in and out.
If the camera has a specific rechargable (this also applies if you buy normal rechargables), ensure you do not totally run the battery dry and dont half charge the battery before using it again as they have a “memory” effect and the next time you charge them, they will only charge to the smae level as you took them off before.
Hope this helps…

try lithium batteries- if you still get message, look for corosion or leaks on terminals causing resistance to current. Scrub any crap off gently and do it like you are taking ‘sleep’ out a babies eyes.Carefully.
is it still broke?
THE BEST IDEA IS! take it back to the Shop or person that you Bought it, and tell them about your Problem or Simply Read the Instruction Manual that came with it! Both of them will work, but i would take it back to the Store personally! Its most Logical thing to do!
Maybe the camera is not receiving the signal that there is a battery installed or it is not making good contact with the battery.

Its probbably the kind of batteries you are using
If not contact the place you got the Camera
Some things need certain batteries. Cameras need camera batteries, preferably rechargeable batteries.
Get rechargeable batteries or recharge your rechargeable batteries.
Yes you can see if the madal part of the camera that connect to the battery is broken….. Give it a try,
Because you need to use alkaline batteries.
You have get either a digital rated battery or rechargables.
The new batteries weren’t new.
you need special camera bateries
