Is there something wrong with the memory stick, or did I inadvertently erase a file off the camera that I should not have when removing pictures??
Please help!

Is your card full? If not, there’s probably some junk on there (corrupted files or something). You can erase everything by formatting the card- this should be doable either through the camera’s settings menus, or by plugging the card into your computer (windows) and finding it in ‘my computer-’ you then right-click the card and choose format, and it will erase everything off of the card.
Hope this helps! If, after formatting, it’s still no dice, you can try another card, and if THAT doesn’t work, then it’s some problem with your camera (most often, however, it is a memory card problem)

I would re initialise all settings (in the settings menu) of the camera. there should be enough internal memory (ie without the memory card) to take more than 2 pics no matter what you have the resolution set to. then reformat the memory card. if that doesnt work there may be a prob with the cam. bring to sony shop they are helpful and it wont cost you anything. i have cyber shot too (only 6mp).

Sounds like you have set it to use the internal memory only. You need to reset it to use the Memory Stick. You will find the setting in the menu. Cheat and use the manual, I won’t tell anyone that you did. ;-)
