I recently bought a new Canon PowerShot SD600 Digital Elph camera. Lately, when I take pictures, the quality is terrible. It’s very grainy. I took pictures at a graduation and they came out dark and grainy. I used the flash. I don’t know what the problem is. Does anyone else have the same problems with this camera? Do you know how to fix it?

One Response to “Why Is The Picture Quality Bad With A Canon Powershot Sd600?”

  1. Donghwa L says:

Couple of things to look for:
    1. Make sure the lens is clean, if not clean with lens cloth and spray
    2. Check your settings, such as ISO – having your camera on high ISO (although usueful in certain situations) can make your pictures look grainy.
Go through other settings as well, such as exposure compensation, etc. to make sure nothing is out of the normal setting. Often some setting gets changed, people are not aware about it and camera takes less optimal pictures.
